Terms & Conditions
The rules of the road for using our website and signing up for Fair activities.
Last updated: May 2, 2026
Welcome to the Utah County Fair website (the "Site"). By using this Site or registering for any Fair activity through it, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
1. Who We Are
The Utah County Fair is held annually at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds in Spanish Fork, Utah. References to "we," "us," "the Fair," or "the Organizer" mean the Utah County Fair and its authorized representatives.
2. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that doesn't restrict or inhibit anyone else's use. You agree not to:
- Submit false information on any registration or signup form.
- Attempt to access non-public areas of the Site, our servers, or connected systems.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.) to interact with the Site without our prior written permission.
- Interfere with the operation of the Site, including by introducing malicious code or by overloading the system.
3. Volunteer Signups
When you sign up to volunteer:
- You confirm that you are at least 14 years old, or that you will be accompanied by a parent or guardian during your shift.
- You agree to arrive on time for the shift you've signed up for, or to cancel as soon as you know you can't make it so we can find a replacement.
- Volunteer roles are unpaid. The Fair is not your employer, and you are not entitled to wages, benefits, or workers' compensation.
- You participate at your own risk and agree to follow safety instructions from Fair staff.
4. Competitive Entries and Other Registrations
If you submit an entry for any competition (Competitive Arts, 4-H, Open Class, Junior Fair Board, etc.):
- You confirm the entry is your own work, and that you have the right to submit it.
- You agree to the published rules for that category, including drop-off and pickup deadlines.
- The Fair, its judges, and its volunteers are not responsible for damage, loss, or theft of entries, although reasonable care will be taken.
- Unclaimed entries after the published pickup window may be donated or disposed of at the Fair's discretion.
5. Email and Text Messages
When you provide your email address through a Fair registration form, you agree to receive emails related to your activity (confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, results).
If you check the SMS opt-in box on a registration form, you consent to receive recurring text messages from the Utah County Fair at the phone number you provided. Approximate frequency is 2–6 messages per month, more during fair week. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of registration. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your contact information and SMS consent records.
6. Fair Admission, Activities, and Photography
Some Fair events are free; others require tickets. The Fair reserves the right to set, change, or cancel ticket pricing and event schedules. Refund policies for paid events will be stated at the point of purchase.
By attending the Fair, you understand that photographs and video may be taken in public areas of the fairgrounds and may be used by the Fair for promotional purposes. If you'd prefer not to be photographed, please let the photographer know on-site.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photos, and the underlying code — is owned by the Utah County Fair or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other use (including republishing, mirroring, or commercial use) requires our prior written permission.
The "Utah County Fair" name, logos, and any tagline or theme artwork are trademarks of the Fair.
8. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites (sponsors, ticket vendors, social media, etc.). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Following an outbound link is at your own risk.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Site and Fair activities are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site or attendance at the Fair.
- Our total cumulative liability for any claim related to the Site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100.
Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Utah County Fair, its organizers, staff, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your conduct at the Fair.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
